Norbert H. Quack leaves law firm Jauch & Sigle (now: CMS) and founds his own commercial law firm, which, in line with his previous work, focuses on corporate law right from the start.

Dr. Bernhard Gutterer joins the firm.

1990
A law firm is opened in Dresden following "Die Wende". Dr. Bernhard Gutterer, who has been with the firm since 1988 and is now a partner, takes over the management. The law firms in Stuttgart and Dresden now operate under the name Quack Gutterer & Partner.

Norbert H. Quack is appointed notary and Quack Gutterer & Partner is extended by a notary's office

Dr Oliver Boese becomes a partner in the law firm Quack Gutterer & Partner.

2013
Dr Felix Buchmann, specialist attorney for IT law, opens the Stuttgart office for SGT Rechtsanwälte with a focus on "new media".

2015
Dr Andreas Sasdi, specialist attorney for intellectual property law, joins from Baumann Sasdi Sander Attorneys at Law to SGT Attorneys at Law, establishes the Capital Markets Law Department in Stuttgart and expands the Intellectual Property Department to include trademark law. Dr Felix Buchmann becomes a specialist attorney for copyright and media law.

Norbert H. Quack, Dr. Bernhard Gutterer, Dr Oliver Boese, Prof Dr Felix Buchmann and Dr Andreas Sasdi get to know and appreciate each other. The idea of a partnership with a focus on corporate law and IT law is born.
